Mesothelioma Patient Advocate - This is a home office-based position.Compensation :
- Type : 1099 Independent Contractor
- Rate : $40 to $70 per hour, depending on experience
Requirements :
- Clinician with oncology experience, specifically with mesothelioma patients
- Empathetic personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with patients over the phone
- Comfortable working independently from a home office
- Proficient in using CRM systems for documentation purposes
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
Role Overview :
Seeking a compassionate and experienced clinician with a background in oncology, specifically working with mesothelioma patients, to provide crucial information and support to mesothelioma patients and their loved ones.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide mesothelioma patients and their families with information on conventional therapies, specialists, practitioners, centers of excellence, financial resources, and alternative and complementary therapies
- Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system to access better care
- Build trust and connect with patients over the phone, offering empathetic support and general information
- Utilize the CRM system for documentation and management of patient interactions
- Handle a mix of scheduled appointments, incoming calls, and outgoing calls to individuals who have requested information (no cold-calling involved)
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
Work Schedule :
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Flexible working hours to accommodate patient needs
