Role Summary Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) Products and Services will lead the Marketing Strategy for select Business Units and divisions, integrating packaging solutions for container, closure, and automation.
This role is responsible for developing market segment strategies that promote the growth of select market segments, developing new product and services offerings, creating new revenue channels, enhancing profitability, and increasing market share.
The SMM is accountable for delivering and managing the 3-year Products and Services Roadmap for their respective product and service categories ($50M to $150M in annual revenue) to support profitable growth in any of the Winpak core markets (Food & Beverage, Dairy, Protein, Healthcare, Machinery and Latin America).
The SMM leverages Winpak and Wipak’s successes achieved in other markets globally, as well as Technology platforms and multi-BU relationships to help continue Winpak’s leadership position in single serve, portion control market segments.
The SMM also provides market insight, project leadership, and multi-BU proposals on strategic initiatives and investment decisions that connect the Winpak strategic plan to core operations.
Job Description The SMM in close cooperation with Sales and Marketing Directors and with the relevant BU Technical, Operations and Finance Teams, develops and manages the Product & Service Roadmap by owning go-to-market strategies from cradle-to-grave that enable profitable growth, new sales in different channels, increase asset utilization, drive new and core product and service offerings. Market & Product Strategy
Develop the marketing road map for select product and service categories, provide long-term forecasting towards the 3-year strategic plan with detailed market strategies, customer acquisition plans, Capex investment and / or Merger and Acquisition targets.
Manage profitability as per product category targets in alignment with Annual Budget and Strategic Plan, and customer acquisition strategy.
Drive market- based pricing strategy to include One Winpak value proposition of Products and Services, 3 C (Company, Competition and Customer) analysis and market positioning (segmenting, targeting, and positioning).
Lead B2B Product Promotion initiatives (digital, video and print) for select products and services with Winpak corporate communications team to communicate One Winpak Vision, Mission and Values.
Guide multi-BU and multi-market team to execute strategic customer bids and RFQ’s; educate and support the sales team for relevant product lines and market areas.
Collaborates with external market intelligence agencies to provide market segment reports (with market size, TAM, SAM, 3C analysis) highlighting new market and consumer insights.
New and Core Products & Services
Lead go-to-market strategies across multiple BU’s to deliver One Winpak compelling value propositions for products and services in select market segments and organically grow top line sales.
Identify the client journey for products and services, develop key touch points for client engagement and manage product lifecycle.
Create One Winpak value proposition to lead evaluation of new business development opportunities with other Winpak business units, capital investment and total packaging solutions (ex.
Cup / Lidding / Filling equipment).Support sales team in creating new relationships with strategic customers and marketing new products and services to increase Winpak’s engagement.
Collaborate with Winpak Innovation and Technical Management teams and external partners to promote NTW and NTC product platforms and develop new product pipeline and 3-year roadmap.
Develop promotional programs for select products and services to enter new market segments and sell into different channels.
Demand Generation and Sales Enablement
Develop industry relationships and partnerships for demand and lead generation in select market segments.Guide the commercial teams through complex customer negotiations on securing and executing multi-year commercial supply agreements (CSA) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Partner with Finance to provide the executive team with a forecast of revenue and profitability.In partnership with the Technical and R&D teams, complete product life cycle analysis and develop next generation product plans for core, adjacent and new markets.
Develop and lead strategies to commercialize new product and service platforms.Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in some or all of Marketing, Product Management, Sales, or Business Development.Minimum of 5 years of B2B Marketing experience and managing direct reportsExperience with commercializing new products & services with customers is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Packaging / Food & Beverage / Healthcare / Consumer Products Goods industry including materials and manufacturing is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or related field required.MBA in Marketing required.10% to 20% travel to other Winpak BU’s, customers, trade shows and sales meetings.
Proficiency in other languages such as French and / or Spanish is an advantage.Expertise with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams programs and MRP software (Ex.
Movex, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
