What you will be doing :
- Represent clients after pre-suit through the conclusion of the case, whether via settlement or trial
- Prepare for and try numerous jury trials throughout Florida each year
- Work with approximately 35-40 files in direct collaboration with at least one paralegal and a team of legal assistants
- Focus solely on litigation without dealing with pre-litigation or pre-suit cases
- Attend seminars and workshops to continually improve trial skills
- Receive compensation through a base salary and guaranteed bonus structure
Experience you will need :
- Full-time Member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
- 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
- At least 4-5 first chair civil trials
- General litigation experience
- Motion practice experience
- Fact and expert witness deposition experience
- General discovery practice experience
- Strong communication and people skills
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Experience with SmartAdvocate® (case management software) (a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
- Effective and efficient communication with clients and co-workers
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Team-oriented attitude
