We are looking for a highly experienced leader to spearhead our Western U.S. expansion and help establish At Mine as the leading name in hotel management throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada.
Your Impact
The Head of Expansion - Western U.S. will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing third-party hotel management agreements across the Western U.
S. This individual will be instrumental in driving our regional expansion and will use their extensive experience and connections in the hotel industry to establish new partnerships and build At Mine's presence.
As an integral team member, you will be expected to drive a significant portion of growth, managing all aspects of financial analysis, deal sourcing, contract negotiation, business development, and contract execution.
This is a critical leadership role that will work closely with our Executive Team to expand our portfolio and company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow new, and build on existing, partner relationships with independent hotel owners, developers, investors, and other key stakeholders in the hospitality industry
- Build existing pipeline and hotels under management by 2-3x within 12 months
- Leverage your established network to source leads and secure hotel management contracts across California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada
- Collaborate with team to underwrite new opportunities models and develop forecasts based on available data sources and historical performance
- Lead presentations of our financial and operating models to hotel owners and investors, demonstrating the value of partnering with At Mine
- Successfully close a high volume of hotel management contracts under varying deal structures, positioning At Mine as the leading independent hotel management operator
- Manage contract negotiations from LOI / MOU to signed agreements
- Develop real estate strategy to drive regional growth and financial metrics
- Provide input and direction on deal structuring and feasibility analysis, with the ability to perform financial modeling independently
- Collaborate with operations team to ensure smooth property onboarding and alignment with At Mine's profitability and reputation standards
- Build, manage, and refine decks and sales collateral that effectively communicates value proposition and company background & objectives
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 7+ years of experience in hotel real estate or hospitality industry, preferably with a focus on independent hotels
- Extensive connections across the Western U.S. hotel and real estate industry, particularly in markets like San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Portland
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Deep understanding of hotel underwriting standards, forecasting, and revenue management
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and executing hotel management agreements and / or real estate transactions
- Deep understanding of the hotel business, profitability challenges, and operational efficiencies
- Ability to travel up to 40%-60% of the time based on business and deal needs
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while still being highly collaborative
- Proven ability to drive deals to completion in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Financial mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
