Our client a major Japanese Asset Managementfirm is looking for a Benefit and Payroll Administrator inNY.
Position Summary :
Thisposition is coordinating daily operations of group benefit programsand assisting payroll team with US / global payrollprocessing.
EssentialDuties / Function :
Assist in the preparationfor annual Open Enrollment and ensure all enrollment elections areproperly processed in a timely manner.
Conduct benefit orientations for on / off boardingexpatriate staff.
Assist HumanResources in the coordination and implementation of benefitsprograms.
Update benefit andpayroll systems to ensure all related payments deductions and / orchanges are properly captured.
Complete all related transactions andcalculate accruals for employee benefits.
Assist apayroll manager with employee inquiriesregarding payroll accounting and benefits matters administer and track leaves of absence andupdate ADP System with employee time off requests.
Support payroll manager with plan vendorsthe affiliate and thirdparty administrators; coordinate transfer of data to external contacts forservices premiums and plan administration;
document and maintain administrative procedures forassigned benefit processes.
Assist benefit audit activities andrecords to ensure they are updated.
Prepare payroll calculations andprocessing for local and expatriate employees; coordinateinformation to ensure all related paymentsdeductions and / or changes are properly captured. Prepare GLentries.
Assist individual taxfilings for expatriate staff with payroll managers; collectrequired information process and track taxpayments.
Supportexpatriates / overseas support teams / vendors regarding GlobalMobility payroll.
Conductreconciliations on AMEX transactions using the Concur system andprovide required reports to team in atimely manner;
collect receipts through the system review submittedrequests according to our policyidentify / correct errors through collaboration with the team followup with relevant parties as needed andmeet deadlines.
Assist the Sr.Staff Accountant with accounting matters as requested.
Language support for documents and emailsexchanged in Japanese
Evaluateand document procedures to improve efficiency and suggestimprovements.
Adhoc requests asassigned.
Experience / Qualifications :
Associates and / or Bachelors Degree in Human ResourcesAccounting Finance Business or related field required.
2 years experience in US and globalpayroll (Grossup) payroll.
Understandingbenefits and accounting is aplus.
Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice (Word Excel PowerPoint) is required. Working knowledge ofADP MS
Dynamics and Concur ispreferred.
Business level proficiencyin English and Japanese is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills; ability to compose correspondence.
Highly organized with strong attention todetails. The ability to adapt to change in a business environment is alsocritical.
Ability toreport onsite to the NYC office from Monday to Thursday isrequired
