A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in San Francisco, CA.
The ideal candidates will have 1-6 years of patent litigation experience, superior academic credentials, and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Degrees or industry experience in high-tech or life sciences fields are preferred, and candidates must be barred in the state.
Job Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on patent litigation matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for patent litigation cases.
- Manage and coordinate discovery processes, including document review, production, and deposition preparation.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case strategy and progression.
- Provide strategic recommendations and advice to clients on patent-related matters.
- Stay updated on changes in patent law and relevant industry developments.
- Prepare and present cases before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and federal courts.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service.
Requirements
- 1-6 years of patent litigation experience.
- Admission to the bar in the state of California.
- Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Certifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in California.
