Robert Half is partnering with a construction company in the recruiting for a detail-oriented, diligent, and highly-organized AP & Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AP and payroll systems and processes in the construction / contracting industry which adds a dynamic aspect of employees in the field.
This position is being added due to growth and will alternate payroll weeks with the Payroll Specialist and assist the current AP Specialist with the growing AP needs.
This a permanent placement opportunity offering full compensation package including full benefits, 401k matching and paid vacation and holidays.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee processing of accounts payable to ensure expenses, bills, and payroll records are managed efficiently.
- Review, validate and process all invoices for payment and perform reconciliations on AP.
- Coordinate & handle payroll process, including data verification, tax calculation, fringe benefit allocation, deductions, etc.
- Ensure payroll and AP comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
- Liaison with the HR and Accounting department to rectify payroll and accounts payable discrepancies.
- Prepare, generate, and analyze AP and Payroll reports on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
- Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment disputes.
- Document all processes and procedures related to job role, ensuring updated records are stored securely and confidentially.
