We are seeking an HR Generalist Payroll to join our organization located in Jackson, Michigan. This role primarily focuses on the management and execution of our payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a manufacturing setting.

The chosen candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our payroll procedures, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all employees, and responding to any payroll-related inquiries.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and process payroll biweekly using Paychex payroll software.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and record keeping of employee data in the payroll systems.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the HR department to verify information on employee benefits, deductions, leaves, etc.
  • Compile payroll-related reports and documents for reference and analysis.
  • Streamline and implement best payroll practices to improve efficiency and automate the process.
  • Understand the manufacturing workforce, working hours, overtime, shift differentials, etc., to process accurate payroll.
  • Collaborate with human resources and accounting teams.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Use ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, Dayforce, and other relevant systems and tools for effective performance.
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce software
  • Understanding of Benefit Functions within an HR context
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to ensure compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory standards
  • Experience in managing and improving Employee Relations
  • Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its application in HR policies
  • Ability to work with different teams and stakeholders effectively
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
