Job Overview :
Seeking a Healthcare Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join a prestigious law firm’s New York office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in healthcare and commercial litigation, handling a variety of cases independently while also collaborating with the firm’s Healthcare team.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to work with healthcare-focused clients on a range of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, hospital privilege actions, and healthcare transactions.
Duties :
- Provide legal counsel to healthcare-focused clients on federal and state regulatory issues.
- Manage all aspects of healthcare litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, preparing discovery, and attending court conferences.
- Handle hospital privilege actions and insurance company Examinations Under Oath.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to healthcare transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Maintain direct communication with clients and firm attorneys, providing updates and strategic recommendations.
- Handle insurance audits and professional license board matters, including representation before the OPMC and OPD.
- Prepare for and attend administrative agency hearings.
Requirements :
- 4-6 years of experience in healthcare / commercial litigation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong research, writing, and communication abilities.
- Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
- Experience with New York State court litigation.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admitted to practice law in New York.
Skills :
