The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees and manages the financial-revenue cycle roles and health of the practice, while seeking opportunities for improvement with the collaboration of practice administration, physicians, and the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities :
- Participate in preparing monthly and annual reports of financial accounts, including accounts receivable, insurance, collections, general ledger, and other financial functions.
- Work with the administrator to ensure that all practice assets are utilized to the maximum and allocated in the practice's best interest.
- Communicate effectively with all staff to help achieve financial and service goals while providing high-quality patient care.
- May have the opportunity in the next 2-5 years to move into Executive Director / Administrator role if desired and approved by the Board.
Salary : Salary commensurate with experience and revenue responsibility, minimum $105K, may be negotiable. Excellent benefits.

Prerequisites :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (includes knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles) along with verbal, interpersonal, and quantitative skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years of healthcare experience; Master’s Degree a plus.
- Knowledge of the insurance filing procedures with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and other major insurance carriers.
- Basic understanding of patient account billing, collections, third-party billing, and computer systems.
- Experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word.
- Demonstrates leadership ability.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility staff and physicians.
