We are seeking a Medical Receptionist / Scheduler for a local optometry office in Canfield. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, with a competitive compensation of $17 per hour.
- Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the private medical industry.
- Exceptional ability to answer and manage inbound calls efficiently.
- Proficiency in handling billing functions and maintaining accuracy in all transactions.
- Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for data presentation.
- Experience in patient scheduling, physician scheduling, and procedure scheduling.
- Familiarity with fax machines and the ability to fax documents as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest level of professional standards.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
