Position : Project Manager (Public Safety & EmergencyManagement systems)
Location : Brooklyn NYHYBRID
Duration : 12months
Working hours : ( 35 work hours perweek)
Day to day taskinclude :
Perform requirements gathering necessary todesign and build complex Public Safety & Emergency Managementsystems of enterprise monitoring systems for relatedprojects.
Manage thedesign of the Enterprise Monitoring Solution meeting the PublicSafety & Emergency Management needs as it relates to monitoringand alerting requirements.
Develop and design VISIO or CAD typeengineering drawings bill of materials and technical specificationswith custom configuration to meet the projectneeds.
Plan andcoordinate the design of all required system hardware and softwarefor the monitoring system to enable the monitoring system toperform to predefined specifications.
Manage the schedule and validation of thesystems for functionality and performance fault tolerance andoperation readiness.
Coordinate all discussions relative totechnical specification needs and bill of materials requirementsfor Public Safety & Emergency Managementprojects.
Provideoversight and management of blended teams of independent ITconsultants and staff; manage vendorrelationships.
Ensurethat staff and consultants adhere to the published PMO methodologyand development standards defined for thePMO.
Engage inPMOrelated functions including monitoring budget and ensuring thatit is established. communication plans risk management and similarprocesses are adhered to
Participate in the review of projectartifacts including technical requirements user experience designarchitecture testing and implementationdocumentation.
Managethe development of training plans and future supportneeds.
Manage projectclose out and transition of all project artifacts and knowledgetransfer to Agency staff prior to disengaging from aproject.
Support andcontribute to the Programs goal of ongoing process improvement andadherence to Project Management Institutes PMBOK and publishedproject methodologies.
Report to senior management within theProgram stakeholder agencies on projectstatus
Support theDirector of Project Management with managing PMO functionsincluding change requests document and deliverable managementscheduling reporting etc.
Address client concerns and escalate allproject risks and issues appropriately and manage them toresolution.
Managespecial projects and initiatives as assigned included but notlimited to scope described above.
MandatorySkills / Experience :
Minimum 8 years of experience overseeingmedium to large scale projects.
At least 8 years of experience in EventManagement and Public Safety EmergencyServices
Abaccalaureate degree from an accreditedcollege
Functionalunderstanding of routing protocols and data deliverytechniques
Knowledgeof Operations Management Service Desk Help DeskDatacenter
Functionalknowledge of Operating Systems Databases and IT Infrastructureelements
Experiencewith IT Service Management and Enterprise Monitoringtools
In depthknowledge of Enterprise Monitoring tools for Service AutomationService Assurance and Service Support
Focal point of contact for project managementfinancial administrative and technicalissues
Proficient inMS Word MS PowerPoint MS Project MS Visio
Project Management experience includingproject planning scheduling with significant projects.dependencies
Solidtechnical leadership Experience in a largescale enterpriseenvironment for Emergency services
DesirableSkills / Experience :
PMP Certification.
Project Management experience managing thirdparty service providers.
