Summary
The primary responsibility of the Paver Area Manager is to manage Pavers in the North Florida Area, during construction, that would include tracking and managing materials, working with builders, installers, and Field management to ensure quality installations, and providing a high level of service to internal and external customers.
The North Florida area covers Orlando, Daytona, and Jacksonville currently.
Essential Functions
- Ensure Installation of all Pavers schedules are followed
- Oversee several communities and builders
- Communicate with builder area managers, Purchasing, Order Processing, Estimating and leadership
- Supervise a team of Installers in a certain territory
- Train and support new and existing Builder Communities as awarded
- Maintain good and productive communication with the builders / customers daily
- Resolve production and scheduling issues with the builders
Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of construction and flooring experience preferred
- Clean driving record and valid license
- Entry-level computer skills and knowledge of basic systems and applications and use of handheld devices and tablets.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to utilize basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, linear feet, yardage, and square footage.
- Ability to read and comprehend plans, builder communications, training materials, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports, and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in the decision-making process, and makes timely decisions
- Adaptable and flexible to changing business needs
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Must have experience leading a team or crew in a construction environment.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in multiple trades including tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, countertops, and cabinets
- Higher ability in solving production issues with the builders in the field
- Higher ability to resolve homeowner-occupied homes issues and problem
- All other job duties as assigned
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work performed at construction job sites and office
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and stoop for 8+ hours. Minor lifting and carrying may be required.
