The Blow Mold Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining blow molding machines to produce high-quality plastic containers and products.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in blow molding processes, machine operation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate blow molding machines to produce plastic products according to specifications and production schedules.
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of blow molding machines, including mold changes, equipment adjustments, and machine calibration.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with blow molding machines, including problems with molds, temperature controls, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet company quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, maintenance activities, and any adjustments made.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine performance and production efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new operators or team members on blow molding processes and machine operation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing input on ways to improve production processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plastics manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Blow Mold Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of blow molding processes, including machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machine manuals, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
