EDI Logistics Specialist
We are seeking an energetic and proactive individual to join our team and help support our rapid growth. A EDI logistics Specialist is needed to work for one of LA's top denim apparel manufacturers based in Vernon, CA.
Job Summary :
In this position, you will process orders accordingly while following company policy. Ensure all outgoing products will be shipped out accurately and on-time.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping goods for the EDI customers.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for EDI accounts (Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Dry Goods, Von Maur, Saks Fifth Etc)
- Process EDI transactions (850,855,856,810 etc.)
- Provide EDI support to internal departments regarding electronic orders
- Experience working with EDI customers monitor all inbound and outbound transactions
- Creating UCC128 labels and documents for outgoing shipments (pick tickets, BOL and packing lists)
- Create required documents for daily shipments
- Schedule appointments and process different types of shipments for (LTL, USPS, UPS and FedEx pickups)
- Pack orders manually in different portals
- WMS (warehouse management system) knowledge
- Date entry / route customer's POs through different portals
- Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to all EDI accounts
- Assist customer service team with order status
- Ship documents for international shipments in accordance with country regulations and customers requirement (Nafta, Commercial invoices, Commodity)
- Work with the distribution center and other departments across the organization to meet customer ship windows
- Review guidelines for new accounts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in field of logistics and customer service
- Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, trouble-shooting, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables), Word and other MS Office applications, Outlook
- Experience working with FedEx, UPS, EDI and other shipping portals
- Must be detail oriented
- Team player
- High school diploma or college preferred
- Excellent written and organizational skills
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Pay is $18 to $22 per hour
