Job Description

Summary / objective

The Corporate AP Specialist-Level II is a key member of the Corporate Accounts Payable team responsible for efficiently processing Accounts Payable through accurate verification, coding and recording of invoices within the Oracle software AP module.

Essential functions

  • Provide independent judgment in creating and selecting strategies to determine appropriate action related to Accounts Payable.
  • Identify inconsistencies and problems in the Accounts Payable process and provide possible solutions.
  • Recognize, research, and recommend resolution of moderate to complex work assignments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes to ensure the quality of processing and integrity of the financial accounting system.
  • Review accuracy of invoices that are loadedinto the scanning workflow OCR (DocuWare)systemand export invoices into Oracle software.
  • Codeinvoicestogeneralledgeraccount via data entry and OCR (DocuWare software).
  • Learn all aspects of DocuWare and look for efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze and resolve coding errors by identifying trends, opportunities for improvement and inefficiencies using invoice-specific knowledge.
  • Research opportunities to reduce manual processing and assist in implementing automation of tasks.
  • Preparevendorpayments (ACHand / ormanual checks).
  • Reconcilesupplierstatements, researchpast due invoices,request documentationas needed.
  • CommunicatewithFranchisesonmissingattachments,duplicatepayments,receiptofinvoicesto be paid, etc.
  • Prepareinvoicesforscanningandindexing bythe Imaging department.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
  • Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method.

Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and / or facilitated training.

Required education and experience

  • Education :
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Required

oAssociate or Bachelor's Degree; Preferred

Experience :

oA minimum of four years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist; Required

oAccounts Payable processing experience for an organization with at least employees; Preferred

Computer Skills :

oHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

oDocument management / workflow automation software experience; Preferred

oOracle AP module experience; Preferred
