Job Summary
This position is being established to address the rising demand for data management, coordination, and analysis, necessitating an additional staff member to support the projects needs.
The role will ensure the accuracy of research data, maintain the fidelity of research projects, perform data analyses of study variables, and coordinate SDM Core data activities.
Data collection instruments for these projects range from questionnaires and structured interviews to objective measurements devices.
These research endeavors involve regular collaboration with investigators, data engineers, and project statisticians. Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree and 1 or more years of experience in data management / analysis, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and / or experience.
Preferred Qualifications Prefer a masters degree in data management or related field. Experience with research projects.
Familiarity with data management software. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to interpret data, good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communicate well with others, organize data in an effective and organized manner.
Job Duties Job Duty Running scripts in R software that process data to meet the needs of multiple NIH grant projects. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Monitor incoming data files to confirm each has been processed in R software.
Visually inspect the processed data to ensure it conforms to specified standards and perform quality control checks to monitor data-tracking activities.
Send resulting quality control checks to SDM core personnel. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Coordinate with research project personnel at weekly and monthly meetings to stay informed about changes to incoming data and issues with processed data.
Develop and maintain data management and analysis timelines, schedules, and work plans. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Serve as a liaison between research project personnel, and the SDM core.
Take part in weekly meetings with SDM core personnel to report any issues with processed data and changes to incoming data.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Analyze research data and assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications.
Compile and present project progress reports to research project personnel.
