Job Description and Duties

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Branch is seeking a motivated, organized, multi-tasking, team player to join us as the Automation and Innovation Bureau Chief.

Under the direction of the Enterprise Data Management Branch Manager, the Staff Services Manager Ill (SSM Ill) serves as the Automation and Innovation Bureau Chief.

All methods of appointment will be considered such as list appointment, transfer, reinstatement, surplus, SROA, general reemployment, training, and development, etc.

However, possession of the minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and / or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications, the applicant shall be notified and may be removed from the eligibility list.

Employees applying for this position who wish to be considered on a transfer basis must meet the minimum qualifications and all transfer rules.

Working Conditions

This position is located in a high-rise building. Hybrid telework options available.

Special Requirements

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted along with the Application / Standard Form (STD) 678 in CalCareers.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment.

Training and Development assignments are considered limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
