H otel Park City , Member of Autograph Collection Hotels by Marriott International - is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Food & Beverage / Banquets Manager.
Must be a high initiative & multi-tasking individual who is self-motivated and a leader capable of creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere for all Food and Beverage employees and guests.
Guest satisfaction is paramount in a fast paced environment. Strong time management, attention to detail, problem solving, and effective communication skills are required.
General Responsibilities :
- Adheres to and reinforces all health and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manages departmental inventories and maintains equipment.
- Develops lasting relationships with customers & clients to retain business and increase growth.
- Sets goals and delegates tasks to improve departmental performance.
- Acts as a liaison with the kitchen associates.
- Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events as needed.
- Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
- Understands the impact of Banquet operations on the overall success of an event and manages activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Uses Banquet beverage records to control liquor costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory.
General Requirements :
- Excellent Communicator; reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
- Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
- Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
- Must have mathematical skills, computer aptitude and hotel banquet operation knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have superior organizational skills.
- Must have Utah Food Handler's & TIPS certifications.
- Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Opera and Aloha Systems preferred.
