Job Summary
As the Microsoft Access Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the performance of our Microsoft Access databases and applications.
Job Description
We are looking for a Microsoft Access Database Administrator to maintain and enhance the performance of our databases. This position will be full-time and hybrid.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain data repositories, ensuring data integrity and security
Develop and optimize tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes on SQL Server
Manage Microsoft Access databases, including upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business requirements
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
What You'll Need
Required :
5+ years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
Strong experience with Microsoft Access and SQL Server
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
Experience with database software / web applications
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Physical Demands :
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
