The Permit Program Manager assists in the mandated regulatory compliance for the design and construction efforts on campus.
This position manages plan review and permit processing for all projects and provides guidance and training to campus departments and personnel regarding the permit issuance process.
The Permit Program Manager independently makes necessary modifications to project plans, specifications, and permit processes.
Education
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Licenses
Valid Driver License Preferred
Certifications
Certified ICC Permit Technician Preferred
Certified ICC Plans Examiner Preferred
Certified ICC Building Inspector Preferred
Conditions
ICC Certification for Permit Technician obtained within 1 year of appointment start date. Preferred
Experience
Experience in overseeing and leading a building permit program in a higher education setting. Preferred
4 - 7 years of related experience. Required
Minimum Requirements
Hired candidate must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment start date. Required
Ability to operate University vehicles for business and operational needs. Required
Occasional travel for university-related business meetings, conferences, and / or professional development. Required
