Clearview Counseling & Assessment is searching for a dedicated Health Educator to join our dynamic team in the medical practice industry.
As a Health Educator, you will play a crucial role in promoting health literacy and improving the overall wellness of our patients through educational programs and resources.
You will be responsible for assessing community health needs, developing curriculum materials, and conducting workshops and seminars aimed at various audiences.
Your expertise will not only help patients understand their health conditions but also empower them to make informed decisions regarding their health.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, support staff, and community organizations to ensure that our educational efforts align with the latest health guidelines and best practices.
You will also evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health education programs and resources for patients and the community
- Conduct assessments to identify health education needs and priorities
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and group classes on various health topics
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate health education into patient care plans
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health education initiatives and propose improvements
- Create educational materials, including brochures, newsletters, and online content
- Engage with community organizations to promote health education and outreach efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of health promotion strategies and educational methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with health trends and policies
