What you will do : A health information manager uses various technologies to implement health information systems. They may install and use software to organize patient data such as test results, laboratory results, radiology images, vaccination dates, treatment plans, medications, diagnoses, medical history, appointment dates and admission dates.

They can also use health information systems to improve the technology and processes that physicians and other health care employees use to input and collect data.
