Instructional Aide
Position Summary :
Under the direction of Classroom Teacher, provides instructional support in the classroom and assists with the supervision of students in, and outside of, the classroom.
Shift : Monday-Friday 7 : 30am to 3 : 30pm
Essential Duties :
- Provide direct instruction of students under the direct supervision of Classroom Teacher.
- Conduct instructional activities assigned by Classroom Teacher; work with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing / reinforcing learning concepts.
- Implement, under the supervision of Classroom Teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans.
- Assist in classroom management.
- Assist to manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and expectations.
- Assist Teacher in preparing instructional materials.
- Prepare classroom for class activities; maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with the inventory, care and maintenance of classroom equipment.
- Assist with monitoring student transitions, meal periods, and breaks.
- Assist Teacher to maintain accurate and complete records of student's progress and development.
- Assists in escorting / transporting students to / from school / campus and on instructional outings as needed.
- Adhere to all program policy and procedures as established by the Office of Refugee Resettlement including PSA, Special Incident Reporting, and documentation requirements.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and proficiency in Spanish required. Experience working with ESL students strongly preferred.
Salary Range : $42,411 - $46652
The posted pay scale for this position serves as a general disclosure. Actual pay offered within the range will be dependent on individual factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
