As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers and specialists, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the New Glenn rocket test processes for 1st shift (6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm EST).

New Glenn is a single configuration heavy lift launch vehicle capable of carrying people and payloads routinely to Earth orbit and beyond.

Featuring a reusable first stage built for 25 missions, New Glenn will build a road to space. As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will translate test engineering intent, drawings, and configurations and be the liaison between the test engineering team and the manufacturing engineering team.

You will ensure the hardware is ready for test, qualification, and flight. Throughout the manufacturing process, you will also identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.

You will create, interpret, and modify work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of manufacturing work instructions that clearly define the following manufacturing process : fabrication, assembly, test, integration, and refurbishment.
  • Understanding of test plans and procedures for aerospace systems.
  • Ability to closely manage quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Experience with engineering drawing reviews.
  • Define and support repair and rework activities.
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Must be physically able to :

  • Support production floor activities.
  • Climb stairs and work in small areas.
  • Lift and carry 40 lbs.

Desired :

  • Aerospace / Launch vehicle experience.
  • A continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always optimizing.
  • General proficiency with CAD.
