IT System Administrator Responsibilities :
- Manages servers (physical / virtual), LAN / WAN, troubleshooting, and external partner contacts.
- Provides end-user support for hardware, software, and telecommunications issues.
- Offers help desk services.
- Oversees procurement of technical equipment for central and remote offices (e.g., laptops, VOIP, smartphones, peripherals).
- Supports and maintains computer systems, including installation, repair, and upgrades, to ensure optimal performance.
- Installs new equipment as it arrives.
- Engages vendors for support on new and existing equipment.
- Supports all production computers / systems.
- Maintains backups, security, and access rights per corporate policies.
- Administers facility security systems (access, cameras, badges).
- Manages PBX and voicemail systems.
- Ensures users have necessary technology tools.
- Keeps inventory of IT equipment and software.
- Installs and configures software according to corporate policies.
- Assists with data and voice wiring as needed.
- Supports the development, testing, and implementation of new systems.
- Adheres to relevant policies and procedures (5S, safety, ARCLA, IT).
Requirements :
- Strong experience in PC and software support.
- MS Certified preferred; familiarity with MS Exchange / Outlook.
- CCNA Certified preferred; Strong experience with Cisco networks.
- Professional knowledge in Computer Science.
- Experience with installing and configuring network interface cards.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, vSphere).
- Strong understanding of LAN, WLAN, VLAN, DHCP, and DNS.
- Skilled in printer and print server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of : Ethernet NetworkingTCP / IPFirewalls (Palo Alto)Cybersecurity principles
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Pay Range : $35-45 / hr
