Now, we’re looking for a strategic yet creative Marketing Manager to help us get students on board and make myhousr the app every student needs in their life.
The Role :
As our Marketing Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind all our growth initiatives. This is a hands-on role where strategy meets creativity you’ll develop and lead marketing efforts that not only drive user acquisition but create excitement and buzz on campuses across the country.

Where We’re Based :
Our small, but growing team, is currently based out of the University of Nebraska Lincoln (Innovation Campus). As we’re an office-based team, we’re seeking someone who lives a commutable distance from the area.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Marketing Strategy : Build and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to grow our user base. This includes a mix of digital marketing, grassroots campus initiatives, and influencer partnerships.
- Student Campaigns : Develop and lead highly engaging student-centric campaigns that resonate with the student lifestyle from guerrilla marketing to TikTok challenges.
- User Acquisition : Own the growth funnel from awareness to engagement, using a variety of channels such as social media, paid ads, content marketing, and campus activations.
- Brand Awareness : Elevate the my housr brand to a household name on campuses. You’ll craft our voice and personality and make sure it’s consistent across all marketing touchpoints.
- Data-Driven Growth : Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts, optimise campaigns, and identify new growth opportunities.
- Team Leadership : Build, lead and grow our marketing team. Mentor and guide a team of marketers, content creators, and student ambassadors.
- Partnerships : Develop strategic partnerships with campus organisations, influencers, and brands to drive organic growth and community engagement.
- Content & Creative : Collaborate with our creative team to develop engaging content, whether it’s social media posts, video content, or event-based marketing collateral.
- Events : Help plan and execute on-campus activations like tailgates, parties, and campus pop-ups that drive app downloads and student participation.
What We’re Looking For :
- Marketing Strategy & Mass User Activation : Proven experience developing and executing marketing strategies that activate large-scale B2C audiences, with a focus on scalable tactics and metrics-driven success.
- Guerrilla Marketing : Strong ability to conceptualise and implement creative, low-cost, high-impact guerrilla marketing campaigns that engage users and build brand awareness.
- Event Marketing & CRM Expertise : Hands-on experience planning and running events targeted at mass B2C audiences, with an emphasis on utilising CRM tools to drive engagement, retention, and post-event follow-ups.
- Data-Driven Decision Making : Proficient in using data to optimise marketing campaigns, with strong familiarity with key performance metrics and tools for analysis and reporting.
- StartUp Adaptability : Proven ability to pivot quickly in response to market changes, with a track record of problem-solving and thriving in dynamic, resource-constrained settings

Interview Process
- First Stage - Exploratory screening call with our Talent Partner (30 mins)
- Second Stage - Video call with the myhousr CRO (Craig) and UK Marketing Lead (Katy) (30-45mins)
- Third Stage - We’ll set you a take home task, requiring no more than 2hrs of your time. We’ll make it fun, we promise.
We’d then like you to present your task to our CRO (Craig) and CEO (Harry) during a F2F meet :
Part 1 - A chance for you to walk through your take-home task and for us to ask questions (30 mins)
- Part 2 - Wider ranging questions about your experiences and motivations for working at myhousr, approaches to certain scenarios, working style and what you’ll bring to this role (30 mins)
