POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Art Therapy Services Integration ( Manager ) uses the knowledge, principles, and practices of various humanistic therapeutic modalities to integrate said modalities with various wellness and prevention programs aimed at TWCCH clients, community partners, and for internal TWCCH / TWCGME wellness programming.
The Manager is a strategic partner who collaborates with TWCCH and TWCGME leadership to seek and promote a culture of health and well-being, provide innovative and science-based solutions, and address the wellness needs of the communities we serve.

Having specialized expertise in the area of art therapy, the Manager will prioritize TWCCH population behavioral health needs, address said needs and work with the population to make behavioral and other changes in order to promote better health and wellness.
The Manager will oversee the design, development, implementation and long term sustainability of the art therapy service line and related services for patients, including but not limited to linkages between behavioral health and primary care, school-based therapeutic options, and other group and individual services.
The Manager is responsible for leading and managing wellness and preventative programs and is an advocate for integration of wellness data and services into the continuum of care model through collaboration with a multitude of departments including Human Resources, Clinical Operations, and The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and FUNCTIONS
This position will perform the following duties while living and demonstrating the Core Values the Manager of Art Therapy Services Integration will :
Art Therapy / LPC Programming (Clinical)
- Responsible for the development and oversight of TWC’s Art Therapy service line which includes developing strategies and programs for continued sustainability.
- Scheduling and completing clinical hours with patient encounters up to / no more than 20 hours per week (assuming 48 working weeks) inclusive of group visits under the supervision of a TWCCH licensed BH clinician while in training.
- Responsible for collaborating with other members of the team for integrated care.
- Responsible for reviewing and documenting the AT / LPC follow-up plan with patients to include use TWC-specific handouts.
- Document patient encounters and contacts made on behalf of patients in EHR; completes and submits monthly reports; maintains comprehensive electronic patient files, which include patient notes, release of information, assessments and other medical documents acquired on behalf of the patient.
- Work with clinical operations, finance and billing to ensure the service line is able to meet organizational goals and objectives including building an AT / LPC reimbursement and sustainability strategy.
- Ensure staff performance metrics align with the ability to maintain sustainability and patient satisfaction.
- Evaluate AT / LPC program’s effectiveness and reviews both participant evaluations and comments.
- Lead AT / LPC meetings in a consultative and subject matter expert role for short and long-term design or wellness program offerings.
- Ensure AT aspects of wellness programming is consistent with established goals and is outcome focused.
- Drive the alignment of AT initiatives and programs with client and community needs, goals, and objectives.
- Lead the writing and reviewing of policies, procedures, and methods relative to the program.
- Maintain understanding of organizational goals and referral development activities necessary to meet those goals.
- Implement actions for program improvement.
- Consult and collaborate with departmental leadership and collegiate partners to align goals pertaining to the AT / LPC program and initiatives.
- Work with the Licensed TWCCH Therapy Department to develop MH related Art Therapy Groups and assist in the facilitation of these groups.
- Collaborate with The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education to support AT / LPC activities with, and education of, TWCGME trainees.
- Educate residents / fellow on art therapy modalities and how to integrate into primary care.
- Act as an ambassador to the TWCCH in the community; establish and maintain working relationships with regional and community partners.
- With the TWCCH / TWCGME, maintain electronic health record visit templates related to AT / LPC goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement patient education materials and training as pertaining to AT / LPC program.
- Participate, as needed, in any community events and educational training held for staff as well as patients.
- Directly support TWCCH stakeholders development of sustainability plans for AT / LPC services including comprehensive and multi-source revenue stream for widespread resources throughout the organization.
- Direct the compilation and updating of electronic health records related to AT / LPC.
- Develop processes that improve AT / LPC workflow, patient flow, continuity of care, and resident education including leading relevant resident didactics.
- Responsible for AT / LPC data analysis and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master level Art Therapist, ATR or ATR-BC or eligible required.
- LPC or similarly billable professional preferred, but not required to start.
- Must be earned within 3 years of employment.
- Trauma Informed Art Therapy or Trauma Informed Expressive Art Therapy Certification preferred.
- Preferred experience with business development and healthcare billing processes.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills which include MS Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and take action on program reports and metrics.
- Should have good planning and organizational skills, and be able to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse population.
- Must have reliable transportation and are willing to travel. Work will be in any of the 5-county region that includes Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties.
