Job Title : Information Security Administrator (ON-SITE)

$80,000 - $110,000

Position Summary : The Information Security Administrator plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's data by managing and administering Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, overseeing data retention processes, and participating in audits.

This position involves significant responsibilities for the security administration of various enterprise applications.

Manage DLP Tools : Administer and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access and potential breaches.

• Data Retention Oversight : Implement and manage data retention policies to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Audit Participation : Actively participate in audits by preparing necessary documentation, providing insights, and addressing audit findings related to information security.
• Security Administration : Oversee the security administration of various applications across the enterprise, ensuring their configuration and management align with best security practices.
• Risk Assessment and Management : Conduct thorough risk assessments and manage threat and vulnerability management processes to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Incident Response : Develop and implement incident response strategies to effectively address and manage security incidents and breaches.
• Identity and Access Management : Implement and manage identity and access management processes to ensure proper access controls are in place.
• Evaluate Security Technologies : Research, evaluate, and recommend security technologies and solutions, including Microsoft Purview, to enhance the organization's security posture.
• System Implementation : Plan, test, implement, and document new hardware and software systems to ensure secure and efficient operation.
• Compliance Assurance : Ensure that security measures and practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GLBA and HIPAA.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation for security systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
• Database Management : Utilize database programming and scripting languages to support security-related tasks and system management.
• Collaboration : Work closely with IT and security teams to integrate security best practices into system design, deployment, and operation.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience :
• 5+ years experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and data retention practices.
• Experience with Microsoft data management technologies, including Microsoft Purview, O365, Sharepoint and OneDrive..
• Demonstrated ability to plan, test, implement, and document new hardware and software systems.
• Understanding of GLBA and HIPAA data security and privacy requirements is preferred.
• Experience with Varonis domain management or similar applications is a plus.
• Proficiency in database programming and scripting languages.
• Skills and Abilities :
• Strong knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex security challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate security issues and solutions effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders to ensure robust security practices.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
