Adam Search Group has an opportunity in the Boardman Ohio area for a Controller. This role will report to the CFO of the company and one day, you will move into the CFO role.
This is a multifaceted role where you will be responsible for day-to-day Accounting, Tax, and Technology support.
Here's what they are looking for you to do :
Accounting and Tax - prepare or review required filings, oversee monthly financial close procedures, including quarterly and / or year-end, and prepare periodic reporting and required legal filings.
Investments - Oversight and review of Investment reporting. Track investment basis (federal & state). At times look at private equity valuations.
Internal Controls - Assist in the refinement and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and documentation. Support the closing functions including GL, reconciliations, journal entries, and more.
Technology - Work with IT and External IT on supporting Software, Hardware, and Security.
Here's what they are looking for you to have :
- CPA Licensure with a Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- Tax return preparation (individual, corporation, LLC, foundations, and / or trusts) is required.
- Public accounting experience in federal and state / local tax
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong MS Office skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Sense of humor
