General Laborer

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Job Shop Helper to assist inour busy shop. This is an entrylevel position with room for growthperfect for individuals looking to build their skills inmanufacturing and sheet metal work.

MIG welding experience is aplus but not required. The ideal candidate will have strongattention to detail a willingness to learn and the ability tosupport various shop activities.

Responsibilities include but are notlimited to :

• Assistwith the preparation and fabrication of sheet metal parts accordingto shop specifications.
• Operate hand toolspower tools and shop equipment as directed by supervisors or teamleads.
• Support MIG welding operations;experience in MIG welding is a plus but notrequired.
• Move materials load and unload partsand organize storage areas as needed.
• Performbasic assembly tasks including grinding cutting drilling anddeburring of metal parts.
• Inspect parts andmaterials to ensure they meet quality standards before moving tothe next stage of production.
• Perform routinemaintenance on equipment and keep workstations clean and organizedaccording to 5S standards.
• Follow safetyprotocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times tomaintain a safe work environment.
• Assist ininventory management and tracking of materials ensuring properusage and recordkeeping.
• Provide generalsupport across the shop floor helping with any duties required tomaintain efficient production.
• Participate injob shop improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improveprocesses.
• Perform all tasks with a focus onquality safety and adherence to productionschedules.
• Other duties as assigned bysupervisors or management.

Skills / Qualifications :

• Basic MechanicalSkills : Ability to operate hand tools power toolsand simple shopequipment.
• Attention toDetail : Ensure parts and assemblies meet qualitystandards with minimaldefects.
• PhysicalStamina : Ability to stand for extended periods liftmaterials and perform repetitivetasks.
• Willingness toLearn : Openness to training and learning new tasksin a manufacturingenvironment.
