The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives, and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building, and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.
Career Center
The University of Georgia Career Center is the provider of centralized career services to undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni at The University of Georgia.
Career Center staff work collaboratively with faculty and staff of all departments to enhance the career success of University of Georgia students / alumni.
Several of the "nuts & bolts" services the UGA Career Center provides to its students include career counseling, job search training, and opportunities to connect with employers.
The Career Center also serves as a corporate gateway to the University by helping employers meet key faculty / staff, understand culture and curriculum, and successfully recruit UGA students and alumni.
A broad group of corporate, government, and nonprofit employers recruit at The University of Georgia, and the Career Center facilitates this process through career fairs, on-campus interviews, and a variety of recruiting and educational programs and events.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education / experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or related field.
- Career services experience is preferred. Specifically, experience providing comprehensive advising and career counseling related to career exploration and job-related skill development.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Employer Relations reports to the Director of Employer Relations. This individual is responsible for managing relationships with both existing employers and potential new employers, actively engaging the career consultant team in employer relations functions, and leading a team of career consultants.
They serve the Employer Relations team by managing processes for communication and information sharing on employer relations report and data analytics efforts.
They manage the employer outreach and communications processes for several events attracting hundreds of employer and student participants.
They also serve on the Career Center's administrative leadership team, assisting with office-wide decision-making, strategy, logistics, and operations oversight.

Supervise a team of Career Consultants :
- Provide guidance and support through meetings (group and individual), semester reports, strategic planning, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop performance initiatives, expectations, and evaluate his / her performance annually.
- Provide support in managing critical collaborations with Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Mary Frances Early College of Education, School of Public & International Affairs, and Franklin College of Arts & Sciences (Humanities).

Create a bridge between the Employer Relations Team and all Career Consultants by proactively engaging them in the employer relations / development process.
- Engage career consultants in employer relations activities and facilitate employer / industry education by coordinating employer breakfast meetings, employer guest speakers in career workshops, and other employer-involved educational programming.
- Coordinate the employer greeting process by providing staff training and creating a staffing schedule.

Work closely with the Director of Employer Relations to manage relationships with both existing employers and potential new employers.
- Consult with employers on their campus recruiting strategy and encourage participation in career fairs, events, and other engagement opportunities.
- Provide high-quality customer service to employers during their on-campus recruiting visit.
- Network with employers at career fairs, events, resume review days, mock interview days, and during on-campus recruiting to develop / maintain strong relationships.
- Participate in professional association webinars, events, and conferences to enhance knowledge of industries and network with employers.
