Responsibilities
The Marketing department at State Farm has an opening for a Marketing Intern within the Performance Marketing Division .
The Performance Marketing Execution - Corporate Digital, Direct & Leads Management team manages the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital, direct and lead generation tactics that drive measurable business outcomes for acquisition, retention, and cross-sell goals.
Additional Information :
- Efficiently optimizes campaign execution in alignment with goals
- Tactics include digital / social media, direct mail, email, texting, etc.
- Engages with internal and external partners such as media agencies
- Continuously drives innovation that achieves goals and surpasses the competition
- Researches new and monitors existing digital / social partner engagement
- Knowledgeable in digital / social channels and current events affecting campaigns
- Contributes to planning, creative development, execution, measurement and optimization across all channels
- Responsible for optimizing performance and tactics to maximize budgets and objectives
- Communicates to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
- Contributes to assignment briefs for business partners and creative / media agencies
- Ensures in-market executional alignment to strategy
Qualifications
An Ideal Candidate :
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Media
- Has experience with creating digital and social media plans
- Has experience with creating ways to optimize media performance and tactics
- Has knowledge and knows how to navigate digital / social media and current events that could affect campaigns

Internship Information :
Eligibility : Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, or post-graduate program with a graduation date of August 2025 or later.
Location : This position will be in a hybrid work environment located in Bloomington, IL; Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; or Tempe, AZ.
Remote opportunity may be considered.
Remote : Qualified candidates (outside of locations listed above) may be considered for remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.
Remote interns could be asked to travel to an assigned location throughout the summer for onboarding and various events.
Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
For Los Angeles candidates : Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Change Initiative for Hiring, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.
For San Francisco candidates : Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York and Washington State candidates :
Hourly Rate : $22.00 / hour based on a 38.75-hour work week
Selected interns will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend.
Benefits : Interns are benefits-ineligible, except for Life Leave
Dates of internship : May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025
Competitive candidates will be invited to participate in a pre-screening video interview in the Fall of 2024
