Client islooking to engage for IT Professional staff to assist in thedistribution of equipment during a laptop hardware refresh.

Dutieswill include receiving new hardware assisting customers withapplication installations troubleshooting incidents and disposingof oldequipment.

Will workclosely with Service Center concierges the service desk IT AssetManagement and System & Software deployment staff to ensurecustomers receive stable and reliable computing devices.

Dailyactivities will relate to the distribution of computing equipmentand the decommissioning and disposal of oldequipment.

Consultant willbe on a team responsible for the coordination of the assignment ofreplacement laptops. They will work closely with customers ifrequired to install applications necessary to perform theirassociated job duties.

This team will also ensure all appropriateasset inventory is updated to reflect device assignment. Thedisposal part of the role will assist in tasks related to thedecommissioning of IT assets and working with 3rd parties onreceiving staging processing and the final disposal ensuringappropriate methods are used to meet Federal State environmentaland Countycompliance.

Expecteddutiesinclude :

Work withcustomers at key distribution sites to ensure they receive newequipment in workingorder.

Assist customerswith installation of associated applications required for theirassigned jobduties.

Diagnosis recordescalate and resolve related incidents as they happen during thedistributionprocess.

Address anyquestions customers may have related to Windows 11 and the laptopcomputingdevice.

Receive andprocess assets that are designated to be decommissioned ensuringall appropriate inventory data is captured and updated in thehardware AMDB (Asset ManagementDatabase).

Organize andmaintain incoming inventory current inventory and outgoinginventory by stocking material neatly in designatedareas.

Manage datamedia per company policy; ensure security and data sanitationprocedures are alwaysfollowed.

Process harddrives by testing and preforming data erasure and wiping orshredding per standards andprocesses.

Perform generalhousekeeping tasks such as sweeping and picking up trash tomaintain a clean and tidyworkspace.

Assist withpreparing and packaging of resalable equipment per companyprocedure and 3rd partyrequirements.

Maintain andinventory final disposition asset records of disposed devices andensure all inventory data is captured and updated in the hardwareAMDB (Asset ManagementDatabase)

Specificskills / experiencerequired

Oneof thefollowing :

Twoyearcollege / vocational / technical degree in a technology field orapproved information technology certificate; or completion of fivecollege / vocational / technical information technologycourses;

or2 (two) years of information technology experience.

MustHave

Technicallysavvy with a demonstrated ability to resolve computingproblems.

Knowledge ofWindows desktop OperatingSystems

Proven CustomerServiceExperience

Ability tomultitask and pivot based onworkload.

Quickly analyzeand diagnosis hardware software application and network problems ina desktopenvironment

Ability tofollow Standard Operating Procedures and articulate when a problemoccurs with thoseprocedures.

Ability toassisted lift to 50 lbs. 8. Ability to work with hand tools whethermanual or powered.
