The Claims Handler is pivotal in managing personal injury claims at the pre-litigation stage. The role involves the initial opening of claims with insurance companies, gathering and reviewing accident reports, updating and maintaining case files in Clio with all necessary information and documents, setting up and monitoring medical treatment with Clients / Providers, and settlement / reductions execution with alignment with the Attorney.

Responsibilities :

Claim Initiation and Setup :

• Initiate claims by contacting insurance companies, obtaining claim numbers, and documenting claim details in Clio.
• Request accident reports and any additional documentation necessary to support the client’s claim.

File Setup and Documentation :

Medical Treatment Coordination :

Medical Records Management and Bill Negotiation :

Case Progress Monitoring and Communication :

Team Collaboration and Reporting :

Demand Writing : Prepare comprehensive demand letters, tailored to each case, to effectively communicate the client’s claim for settlement negotiations.
