Reporting to the Senior Director and Talent Manager of Editorial Events, the Associate Director, Editorial Booker will play a critical role in ensuring alignment and collaboration between our newsroom and events teams as Axios continues our incredible growth trajectory.

Go Deeper : The Associate Director, Editorial Booker will have the following primary responsibilities :

  • Serve as a primary booker for Axios events at our national and international events.
  • Work closely with our reporters, editors to identify and book newsmaking speakers for each of our Axios Live events.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to plan and coordinate Axios coverage and promotion of our events online, on social media and in newsletters.
  • Work closely with Axios Events business team to coordinate on logistics of event as needed.
  • Ensure that our events portfolio reflect our editorial standards, reflect diverse points of view, and help Axios stay at the forefront of news
  • Identify growth opportunities for our events content, in partnership with the Axios social media team
  • Oversee editorial prep calls with Axios reporters and speakers. Handle travel arrangements, if needed, for Axios speakers.
  • Assist with writing and editing assignments in Smart Brevity format related to Axios events, including event content to event attendees.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $80,000 - $100,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.

This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country.

Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
