S. Government. As a UX Designer Developer, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary R&D team of engineers, researchers, and scientists to develop cutting-edge solutions to our nation’s most challenging national security and cyber defense problems.

What are the primary responsibilities in the UX Designer / Developer position?
- Ask hard questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces to support client & development efforts.
- Is able to analyze the strategic objectives of customers and design solutions that satisfy higher level business objectives by researching, exploring, sketching, prototyping and user-testing proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Respectfully challenge technical or business limitations.
What required background will make you successful?
- Three or more years of UX design experience applying UX design best practices.
- Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, etc.
- Experience with FrontEnd Web Development frameworks and languages such as Angular, React, JavaScript, etc.
- Ensure that all UI / UX designs are optimized for performance and scalability
- Experience integrating user interfaces with server-side logic via WebSockets, REST, STOMP, etc
- Able to articulate & present concepts to client, leadership & team members.
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design (UCD), aiding in the facilitation of rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
- Experience designing, developing and delivering user interfaces in the science and engineering domain.
- Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design solutions.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
- Bachelors in Human Machine Interaction (HMI), User Experience (UX), Graphic Designer (GD / BFA) preferred
- Desired experience with backend services in Python, node.js, etc.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS / SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Where is the position located?
This position can be located in Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Centennial, CO or our Tucson, AZ Headquarters.
