As a Mainframe Software Engineer III at the Company within Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Requirement :
Formal training, or certificate on Mainframe software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in COBOL language codingTechnical skills in IBM-Z / OS COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, Mainframe application development suiteExpert skills in IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutionParticipate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using COBOL, CICS, DB2, to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teamsDesign, write, unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality.
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologiesDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud, artificial intelligence, machine Expert Level / Currently Using : VSAMCobol (any)DB2JCLMQ Series Additional Skills : Familiarity with modern front-end technologies ( Python, JAVA)Exposure to cloud technologies
