What you will do :
We are the global leader in building innovation with Louvers, Dampers, and Air Measurement controllers. Our products lead today’s tough building codes with a variety of performance certifications, patents & business awards that go unmatched in the market.
Our corporate office is located near Kansas City, MO and includes our test lab where all designs are validated first before they are submitted for 3rd party validation.
This position is responsible for sustaining engineering efforts to maintain the our louver portfolio including a variety of high velocity wind driven rain and hurricane impact applications.
You will work with the development team to solve problems and apply solutions to future designs.
How you will do it :
Lead engineering sustaining efforts under the louver product umbrella.
Investigate quality concerns and work with cross functional teams including product managers an operations to determine and implement required solution.
Identify additional areas or products that may have similar designs and need review.
Work with others to create or update louver product standard drawings as necessary.
Complete, maintain, and release drawings for agency test samples coordinating with HQ and Plant teams as necessary.
Work closely with test lab, plant, and field service personnel to leverage their expertise in the field.
Provide technical guidance along with sound engineering principles.
Coordinate with internal and external testing labs to validate design changes to applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in Autodesk products including AutoCad, Inventor, Vault.
High attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Ability to make, read, analyze drawing designs and understand tolerance stack up & press fits.
Demonstrate the ability to work in team environments, good written and oral communicational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.
Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job.
Development of Product Standard Drawings
Preferred :
HVAC Louver Product Design Experience
Manufacturing experience with Welding, Assembly, and Machine Shops
GD&T Understanding
Project management skills
3D Printing experience
Accreditations knowledge with 3rd party companies
