The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of activities in the Human Resources Department, including Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Employee Engagement, and Training.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responds to general questions from employees and managers related to policy interpretation.
Assists with HR priorities, including special projects, in Employee Relations, Recruiting, Training or other HR support area as needed.
Assists in presenting policy / procedure related information to employees and managers though service line meetings and HR Lunch and Learn sessions
Reviews documented Coaching and Level 1 Corrective Action, in partnership with assigned HR Business Partner, to ensure adherence to policy and consistency of practice
Takes a lead role in the Work from Home initiative, both in-state and out-of-state
Conducts exit interviews and tracks exit interview data
Maintain EEO-1 data and provide reporting updates on annual basis
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS :
Sitting for up to six hours per day, one hour at a time. Standing for up to five hours per day, one hour at a time. Walking up to three hours per day, thirty minutes at a time.
Fingering and handling frequently. Twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Lifting and carrying up to ten pounds, occasionally.
Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Occasionally stoops, bends, squats, kneels, and reaches above shoulder level.
Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general, near and visual monotony.
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology discipline in Human Resources field required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :
Minimum 1 years' experience in a related Human Resources field required.
Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations required.
Human Resources Certification (PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Demonstrated skills in understanding and supporting the team concept, active listening, problem solving and maintaining confidentiality.
Past experience with an HRIS System preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
