Psychiatrist -PRN/ As Needed

PRN position only.

Responsible for care of medical and psychiatric clients, be a liaison for hospital and structure emergency care for patients, participation in patient care teams, and assistance to management, as requested.

Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions. Generally will treat over 20 patients daily.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

• Medical Degree with psychiatry specialty and a minimum of 5 years of psychiatry experience.
• Previous experience in community-based mental health organization is desired.
• Extensive experience diagnosing mental health problems with adult & children clients.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Appropriate credentials to practice psychiatry in Oklahoma.

No history of ethics or other professional violations

SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS :

Normal office hours, with some evening and weekend clinic hours for clients.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery.

Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to :

• Increased access to care and crisis services
• Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
• Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
• Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
• Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.

Education Doctorate (required)

Experience 5 years : Psychiatry specialty and a minimum of 5 years of psychiatry experience. (required)
