Job Type : Full Time, Experienced
Job Description : Assists the Athletic Director in all areas of athletic administration and coordinates activities of the Athletic Department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Minimum requirements include an Associate’s degree and two years of experience preferably in a fast-paced Athletic Department and / or educational setting.
Coaching experience preferred. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, and Google Apps, comfortable communicating via email, and have experience working with office equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Must be a self-starter. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), highly organized, ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and respond in a timely and professional manner to supervision, directives, instructions, and unexpected circumstances.
A positive attitude is a must. This person must be willing and capable of learning to utilize various other computer software related to his / her job responsibilities.
OTHER SKILLS : A qualified person will possess the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with the Athletic Department staff, maintenance staff, security, student-athletes, parents, and other members of the MPI community.
The communication may include phone calls, text messages, emails, sending and receiving faxes / letters, and face-to-face conversations.
The person must be well organized, able to meet deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, the person will demonstrate role-model and good sportsman-like behavior at all times.
