Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has the capacity to serve 52 children.
The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges.
The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical / nursing, and therapy services.
Lead Behavioral Health Technicians coordinate and maintain a therapeutic environment for our Residential Treatment Center.
This position protects the health and safety of individuals, and assists Program Coordinators with the supervising, planning, and implementation of program activities while managing children’s behaviors.
Lead BHTs serve as a mentor and have fun with kids doing various year-round activities such as art projects, music groups, animal therapy, various athletics (basketball, soccer, Frisbee, etc), and adulthood transition prep! The Lead BHT will assist and support the planning, implementation, and documentation of those activities designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals on Campus.
This position also serves as a role model, mentor, leader, and / or trainer to Direct Care Professional staff.
Pay Range : $19 - $20.90 / hr
Earn an additional $1 / hr. 3pm-11pm and $2 / hr. 11pm-7am, 7 days / wk.

Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred
- One (1) year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery or Six (6) months Devereux experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
OTHER :
- Valid Arizona Driver's License is required
- Must be able to pass 36-month DMV check
- Must possess (or have the ability to obtain) a AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance card with NO restrictions
