Responsibilities :
- Ability to work in a fast paced every changing group of businesses within the Aerospace Industry.
- A member of the company(s) Engineering Department reporting to the Engineering Manager.
- This includes Maverick Molding and Pacific Piston Ring which are owned by the LOAR GROUP (Niche Aerospace and Defense Markets)
- Hands-on set-up of CNC machines to perform machining on customer products.
- Inspect 1st article CNC machined products to ensure they are meeting customer requirements.
- Performing G-Code programming to run CNC machines.
- Use prints, process sheets, and travelers to determine correct tooling and fixturing needs in the business.
- Work with engineers and operators on various shop improvement projects.
- Train operators in Safety and Quality when working with CNC equipment.
- Must have the ability to determine the efficient operational sequencing of jobs while holding all dimensional tolerances.
- Help manage and improve the company’s Tooling and Fixturing Database working with Engineering / Operational resources.
- Initial responsibilities will be to evaluate company and customer test fixtures used in our processes and develop calibration prints for each fixture.
- Individual at times will have to help support the operation by running customer parts (25%)
Requirements :
- Experience with SolidWorks and CAM packages required.
- Experience with Tooling and Fixturing a necessary skillset.
- Must be able to read customer drawings and sketches containing multiple views and sections.
- Must have the ability to accurately measure and perform all quality inspections throughout the process.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, surface table heigh gauges, dial indicators, gauge blocks and gauge pins.
- Ability to hold tolerances to + / -0.005 .
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in an AS9100 environment a plus.
- United States citizenship or permanent residency.
