The Role

TaskRay is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to own the development and maintenance of the QA function for the TaskRay product.

You will work closely with the product and development teams to ensure that new and existing features are properly tested and functional while establishing new or improved processes and standards.

TaskRay is a native Salesforce application and advanced knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem and Salesforce centered Application Lifecycle Management will be preferred to be successful in this role.

We run a lean technical team, so this role will be autonomously responsible for Functional, Regression, and Automated testing, in addition to serving as an internal technical support resource and a key contributor to the release management process.

What you’ll do :

  • Implement and enforce best practices of testing in the development and quality release of our application
  • Advocate for testing concerns and voice of the customer in agile ceremonies (story grooming, retrospectives, sprint demos, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the product design and developer teams during sprints to ensure all work is fully tested by the end of the sprint
  • Proactively determine gaps and failure points in requirements, user stories, and test executions
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for our customer support teams, both to confirm scope of potential issues and reproduction steps
  • Use internal analytics tools, such as MixPanel or ISVapp, to determine impacts of user reported bugs, and to guide prioritization of testing efforts
  • Develop and present testing plans and processes to technical teams and management
  • Guide development of tests and scenarios that need coverage
  • Document, investigate, and communicate defects discovered during test executions and escalation reviews
  • Own our automated test platforms
  • Enhance, maintain, and improve the level and quality of a library of test scripts, both manual and automated tests
  • Lead test execution effort of scheduled production releases, including regression testing and user acceptance testing, with a goal of 90% quality (as measured by number of new defects / bugs, with overall severity and customer impact weighting)
  • Develop metrics around ongoing test activities to guide progress and report to leadership
  • Organize a roadmap for the future of the QA function

What you bring to the table :

  • A strong desire to improve processes
  • Knowledge of industry standard testing tools and frameworks, with practical ability to implement and execute test suites
  • A proven track record implementing E2E testing workflows, including test planning and execution
  • Experience working in Cypress
  • Experience administering and testing in a Salesforce environment
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of React development
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools and scripting languages such as GitHub Actions, bash, python, javascript
  • Strong understanding of database design and data manipulation
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize business needs, evaluate requests, and recommend strong testing solutions

Compensation

Cash compensation for this role is commensurate with experience. The estimated salary range is between $104,000 - $129,000 per year.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on company and individual performance targets.

Location

This position is remote (US only). While TaskRay has a physical office in the Denver area, we also have team members located across the United States.
