We are a local CPA firm in Flint Township looking to add to our accounting / bookkeeping staff.
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a full charge bookkeeper. This position will be responsible for performing day to day financial transactions for clients which include, but is not limited to : maintaining accurate and complete financial records, ensuring all accounting and bookkeeping records are accurate, preparing financial statements, maintaining ledgers and reconciling bank statements, and payroll related functions.
Payroll functions include processing payroll checks, payroll tax returns, and year end filings such as W2’s.
Qualifications
Prior experience with this type of work is mandatory.
Prior experience in public accounting is preferred.
Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills. This position deals directly with both clients and staff CPA’s.
