One of Vaco's publicly traded clients is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SEC and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and internal controls.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Q and 10-K.
• Manage the financial close process, including reporting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate and support financial audits and regulatory reviews.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Communicate effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. Qualifications :
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and SEC compliance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Proven track record with SEC filings and financial statements.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
