Runner/Custodian

The Runner / Custodian ensures the smooth operation and production of the facility by handling the timely pick-up and delivery of parts, materials and other necessary items.

This role also involves daily cleaning tasks, including wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies and tidying the office.

By maintaining a clean and organized environment, this individual will support overall workplace efficiency. Their contributions help facilitate uninterrupted operations.

Ultimately, the Runner / Custodian plays a vital role in enhancing productivity and maintaining a well-kept facility.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver License and must provide proof of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug test to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Availability to work overtime, evenings, weekends and / or holidays as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to meeting operational demands.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, and climbing ladders or stairs to conduct safety inspections and investigations.

Ability to walk around various facilities throughout the day while managing all required maintenance activities is essential.

Must be able to maintain professionalism when interacting with challenging managers, employees, clients, vendors, and coworkers.

Typical Duties

• Delivers and picks up parts and equipment from various locations, ensuring timely and accurate transportation to support operational needs.
• Responsible for obtaining signatures for all deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
• Verifies lunch orders during pick-up and delivers lunches daily, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
• Maintains cleanliness of Runner Truck inside and outside.
• Ensures vehicle registration is current and up to date, maintaining compliance with legal and operational requirements.
• Adheres to daily instructions communicated on the dry erase board, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Utilizes most efficient routes, drives safely and returns promptly from deliveries and errands.
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops assigned areas twice daily to ensure cleanliness and a safe environment.
• Conducts daily cleaning of toilets, seats, sinks, and surfaces in all bathrooms, maintaining a hygienic and sanitary environment. toilets,
• Collects and disposes of all trash and recycling from desks and breakrooms daily, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
• Wipes down tables and countertops in all breakrooms to maintain cleanliness and a welcoming environment.
• Restocks toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer and vending machines, as needed.
• Checks and / or replaces air filters throughout the office weekly.
• Cleans and / or blows out AC coils and handlers weekly.
• Conducts weekly cleaning of the ice machine to maintain hygiene and ensure proper functionality.
• Performs monthly cleaning of eye wash stations to ensure proper hygiene and readiness for use. .
• Performs monthly maintenance by blowing out dust from computers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
