THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a dedicated and dependable Game Lands Maintenance Worker to work in our State Game Lands.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Game Land Maintenance Worker 1 performs semi-skilled work and assists with other duties. Work involves with maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more.

You will also assist with mowing, habitat management, and other duties as needed. These include but are not limited to conducting or assisting with prescribed burns using firefighting equipment, assisting with the use of herbicides and pesticides, and helping to develop and maintain hunter access, hiking, snowmobile, horse, and bike trails.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
• Work hours are 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

• One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
• One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
• One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements :

• You must possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• You must obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of employment in this job.

Additional Requirements :

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
