Position Summary
The Pricing & Rebate Manager is responsible for the execution, optimization and quality of rebate programs, pricing strategies and customer service ensuring compliance and accuracy to achieve company goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Overall :
Lead the rebate, pricing and customer service teams and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop programs that support customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
Maximize margin through contract alignment, price optimization and customer analysis.
Develop and execute the strategic plans for the Business Services department through monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings to define and achieve company goals.
Evaluate and drive efficiencies and analyze and understand ROI for all new products and lines of business
Foster strong relationships with the sales team, accounting, customers and vendors.
Work closely with the sales team, accounting and purchasing to proactively identify issues and solve problems.
Develop and achieve defined departmental KPIs, productivity and efficiency goals.
Develop a strong culture of process improvement and provide continuous training for team members utilizing a blend of internal and external sources.
Pricing Management Responsibilities :
Develop and implement pricing models and strategies that maximize profitability while aligning with the company’s goals.
Perform detailed financial analysis to evaluate the impact of pricing decisions
Maintain, update and continuously monitor pricing databases and systems to ensure accuracy.
Continuously audit existing pricing for margin changes and accuracy.
Prepare and present detailed reports on pricing performance.
Rebate Management Responsibilities :
Manage rebate programs for optimal financial performance.
Oversee the rebate reconciliation process ensuring the company is paid for rebates submitted.
Maximize rebate recovery by evaluating and refiling rebate denials.
Proactively work with vendors to put processes in place to mitigate rebate denials.
Continuously audit to ensure all items that have rebate contracts are loaded in the system
Work closely with the accounting team to reconcile rebate payments.
Evaluate and improve rebate management processes.
Prepare and present detailed reports on rebate program performance
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or at least two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
